The most important area of application using the “Mojette Transform” is distributed storage on disks or networks. Today, “Mojette” storage increases by 2 the storage space (or equivalently, a reduction of 50% of equipment costs for a given storage volume), maintenance and energy compared to current technologies.

In 2010, Pierre Evenou, research engineer of the IVC team IRCCyN laboratory, decided to create the start-up RozoFS using this application. The start-up offers storage solutions in cloud computing, virtualization, storage servers, file servers, backup and archiving.
